Author, Somdatt Kumar is a Mechanical Engineer as well as a Research Scholar at Bihar Mathematical Society. He is someone who believes in deep thinking on any given topic. This book having written after a long thinking process, which is beneficial for the students of today’s generation in order to understand the mathematical concepts in an easy manner. Neel Preet: Firstly, Congratulations on your book, “Vimal Mathematics!”What responses are you getting from this book of yours? Please share your experience about this book.
Somdatt Kumar: Thanks a lot for giving me this kind of opportunity to share my experience about my academic book “VIMAL MATHEMATICS”. I am getting a very good responses to my book “VIMAL MATHEATICS” from the readers. I advice students to read this which is based on completely new trend and beneficial for those who wants to prepare for Olympiad, NTSE and various competitions. Taking my experience about this book as you all know that this is my first academic book so this is directly connected to me.
Neel Preet: My next question to you is that what inspired you to write this academic as well as examination preparation book?
Somdatt Kumar: When I was in school, I had faced many difficulties on that time to prepare my examination. These difficulties are basically two types which I had faced. First is that, At that time I wanted to understand some important concepts but due to unavailability of a right mentor, I didn’t learn those concept. And second is that the study material available at that time is generated many confusion, because inside the study material so many unwanted things (images, story etc.) are available. Those who do not have any direct relation with the concept, they only create confusion. Therefore, I thought that the problem I faced would not have to be done by the next generation again and I wrote this book “VIMAL MATHEMATICS”.
Neel Preet: You’ve made impeccable efforts in presenting the mathematical concepts by simplifying them. So, why did you feel need of doing so?
Somdatt Kumar: I feel need for doing so because in market there are many books available and there are so many topics are given in that book. Also in these topics there is many irrelevant topics are given which creates confusion among students so I thoughts there must be a book which will be free from all these things so I started to write this book.
Neel Preet:You’ve written this book, targeting the academic readers, who may be interested in understanding the concepts of mathematics! So, what was the impetus behind this work of yours?
Somdatt Kumar: During studies in college my professors have suggested me to write what I have a studied; for the future generation. They suggested me that you have studied so many things in a broad level you need to give this knowledge to another who will be benefited from this. Also get impetus from the scientist who had worked and write their books. I want to become a scientist. These all things which I mentioned above have inspired me to write this book.
Neel Preet: Apart from academic writing, in which other genre would you consider carrying out your writing?
Somdatt Kumar: Apart from academics book I have already written a science book “BASIC CONCEPT OF THE UNIVERSE”. Beside these I am also working on Astrophysics, Cosmology and Theoretical physics genre.
Neel Preet: Somdatt Sir next, I want you to tell us about some of those writers or researchers, who had inspired you and whom you follow!
Somdatt Kumar: My ideal scientist is Dr. Homi J Bhabha, I also follow them. Apart from this, the great Indian mathematician Aryabhatta, Ramanujan, Vasist Narayan etc. I too may have been inspired to write this book.
Neel Preet: Is there any message which you would like to convey to your readers? Or any piece of advice, which you would like to give to the readers out there!
Somdatt Kumar: I would like to advice my reader to read this book and recommend this to the junior because this is the only book which language is very easy. And reader can read this book without taking any help from teacher by self. If student study this book properly there is no needs for prepare any external notes. It takes less time to cover whole syllabus of board as well as various competitive examinations
Neel Preet: Are there any other books being worked by you? Please let us know about your future projects.
Somdatt Kumar: I have already written a science book “BASIC CONCEPT OF THE UNIVERSE”. Beside these I am also working on Astrophysics, Cosmology and Theoretical physics. I have published some research paper in the my working areas. One of my favourite research papers in all of these, in which I have given a series. Which I have named “Somdatt series” (i.e. also known as S.D. series). Typical Engineering problem can be solved very easily with the help of this series.
