Introduction:

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The basic description of this virus, Coronavirus comes under the sub-family Orthocoronavirinae. It has been surrounded by an envelope like a frame, which gives a definite sense of the single-stranded RNA genome. The shape of their nucleocapsid is helical. The size of coronaviruses ranges from 26 to 32 Kilobases. It is one of the largest family of Viruses.

Origin:

On 31st December 2019, WHO was informed of cases of pneumonia of unknown cases in Wuhan city, China.  A novel Coronavirus was identified as the cause by Chinese authorities on 7th January 2020, and was temporarily named “2019-nCoV”.

Impact of COVID:

On 30th January 2020, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director- General declared the novel coronavirus outbreak a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC). WHO’s highest level of alarm. At that time there were 98 cases and no deaths in 18 countries outside China.

On 11th March 2020, the rapid increase in the numbers of cases outside China led the WHO Director-General to announce that the outbreak could be characterized as a pandemic. By then more than 118000 cases had been reported in 114 countries, and 4291 deaths had been recorded. By mid-March 2020, the WHO European Region had become the epicentre of the epidemic, reporting over 40% of globally conformed cases. As of 28th April 2020, 63% of global mortality from the virus was from the region.  And according WHO (COVID-19) has “exposed persistent inequalities by income age, race, sex, and geographic location. Despite recent global health gains, across the world people continue to face complex, interconnected threats to their health and well-being rooted in social, economic, political and environmental determination of health”.

It has also affected day to day life and is showing down the global economy. This pandemic has affected thousands of peoples, who are either sick or are being killed due to the spread of this disease. The most common symptoms of the spread of this disease. The most common symptoms of this viral infection are symptoms of this disease. It also affected our day-to-day life, businesses, disrupted the world trade and movements. Identified of the disease at an early stage is vital to control the spread of the virus because it very rapidly spreads from person to person. Most of the countries have slowed down their manufacturing of the products.

Prevention of (COVID-19):

To prevent the spread of COVID-19 are as following under.

Maintain a safe distance from others (at least 1 meter), even if they don’t appear to be sick.

Waer a mask in public, especially indoors or when physical distancing is not possible.

Choose open, well-ventilated space over closed ones. Open a window if indoors.

Clean your hands often. Use soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub.

Get vaccinated when it’s your turn. Follow local guidance about vaccination.

Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze.

Stay home if you are not feeling well.

Masks should be properly fitted. So, that it can prevent the spread of the virus from the person wearing mask to the other person.

And follow the guideline which is provided by the local health authority.
