Mental Illness It’s a serious issue – Srishty Verma
What is Mental Illness ? Mental illness, also known as mental health disorders, it is one of the most major issues of today’s young generation examples of mental illness include depression, anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, eating disorders and addictive behaviour. In this new article I will shed some light on the problems associated with mental illness and lack of self-love. To begin with, the numbers of general hospitals and the specialist doctors and nurses devoted to treating disease of our body is higher than the numbers of healthcare for the mental complexities. This is huge discrimination when world health organization clearly outlines the number of patients is rapidly increasing day by day. Still our government is not taking any serious action towards it. Recent studies clearly showed that the global population suffers from sort of psychological issues and yet mental illness gets far less priority than it deserves. Moreover, there is no denying that mental illness, compared to physical disease, does not get proper care and acceptance from our society and all around the world. However, solution is available to tackle these problems. I know our government, our family or our friends we should take a serious action towards ourselves. I urge you all to speak for yourself, ask yourself, what’s your name? what excites you and make your heart beat? I want to hear your voice and want to hear your conviction. Symptoms of mental illness: Signs and symptoms of mental health illness can vary depending on the disorder, circumstances and other factors. Mental illness symptoms can affect emotions, thoughts and behaviours. Feeling sad or down Confused thinking or reduced ability to concentrate Excessive fears or worries or extreme feeling of guilt Extreme mood swings Withdrawal from friends and activities Significant tiredness, low energy or problems sleeping Excessive anger Trouble understanding and relating to situations and to people. Major changes in eating habits. Sometimes symptoms appear as physical problems, such as stomach pain, back pain, headache, or other unexplained aches and pains. In conclusion: Now, the time has come for us to change this old dogma about psychological problems. Because still social views towards a physically sick child are always different from autistic children. But first we should talk to ourselves, no matters who you are, where you are from, your skin colour, gender identity- just speak to yourself. Let’s find our name and find our real voice by speaking ourselves.

Self-Love : Every day is a new day
We have already discussed in our previous few lessons that if you are having a hard time don’t need to stretch yourself too much just keep working on your-self cause our everyday brings us new challenges and new life. And it’s okay if you don’t feel like actively doing something to make the sadness go away, something like exercising or distracting yourself. It’s okay to sometimes just take it easy until the pain eases enough for you to go about your day again. Don’t be afraid to take it slow n days you need it. It’s may not be exactly where you want to be, but every day you are doing your best to get there. Just forget everything and trust in your journey. You are on your way to someplace beautiful. Same as its totally fine to cancel plans when you feel like you need to recharge yourself or simply when you don’t feel like it and don’t feel you have enough energy for it. Well sometime people might not understand and see it as rude but need to care for your mental health first. Don’t push yourself in uncomfortable situations just because you feel like you are obligated to do so. Trust you can always start again, every day is a new day, every moment in the new moment, just clean up your socials, make new playlists, donate clothes you no longer wear. Try out a new recipe, move to a new city and make a new friend, pick up new hobbies you never thought of before. There is no limit to how many times you can press the rest button. It’s okay to change and start over. You don’t need anyone’s permission to do it. Trust me trust in the process you are doing your best every day, know yourself more. because once you accept yourself entirely no one can use your flaws against you. Be at peace with yourself, and you’ll be at peace with world around you. Stop convincing yourself you’re wasting your life away. Take a moment and appreciate all that you are, have been and who you are to become. you have come so far and have done so well.
