Interview with Author Suman Bansal Author of the book Yasho – The Parenting Guru – 1
Author’s Background: Author Suman Bansal is known for her book, ‘YASHO – The Parenting Guide’ that is published and released worldwide by Evincepub Publishing. Well, the book is available in both paperback as well as in e-book format and the readers can find this remarkable book on all the top online marketplaces. Neel Preet: Firstly, Congratulations on your book, “YASHO – The Parenting Guide!” Well, can you please share your experience about making your work come into the form of book! Suman Bansal: Thank you so much for your kind words! The journey of bringing “YASHO – The Parenting Guide” into the form of a book has been truly fulfilling. It all began with a deep passion for helping parents to realise the immense power they possess to make a difference in the lives of their children. As I delved into the process, I was driven by the desire to share practical insights, heartfelt experiences, and timeless wisdom that I’ve gathered over the years. Every page of the book is a labor of love, carefully crafted to offer guidance, inspiration, and practical strategies to fellow parents. From researching and organizing my thoughts to weaving personal anecdotes, the process was both enlightening and introspective. It was important for me to create a resource that is relatable, approachable, and resonates with the challenges and joys that come with raising children. Neel Preet: What inspired you to write this book? What was the impetus behind this work of yours? Suman Bansal: My knowledge in graphology and graphotherapy gave me a unique lens through which to view the complexities of parenting. I understood that the personality that we have as adults, is the result of our upbringing in the early years of our life. I realised that handwriting holds insights into a person’s inner world, and this inner world is a result of the programming done by the parents during the age 0-12 years. This realization became the cornerstone of “YASHO – The Parenting Guide.” Neel Preet: You’ve given a very interesting title to your book, which is very catchy too so, what made you go for this title for your book? Suman Bansal: The character in my book draws inspiration from Yashoda, who lovingly shaped Krishna’s character. Krishna is an epitome of a childhood well spent. So, his parents make perfect parenting gurus. My first book deals with the role of the feminine energy in child development and hence only Yasho is in the title. Next book will see the role of the masculine energy. “Yasho” carries forward this wisdom to modern times. The story follows Meera, who navigates parenthood with Yasho’s guidance. The title symbolises a guru who provides insights into nurturing strong roots, and bringing out extraordinary potential in children. It’s a journey of love and growth. Neel Preet: What was your mind-set, while working on this book? Is it based on any particular experience of yours? Suman Bansal: My approach was to share the insights I’ve gained as both a teacher and a parent over the years. Teaching classes allows me to reach only a limited audience. The idea of programming a child’s mind is powerful, and I aimed to spread this concept widely. Life is full of experiences. My own childhood days would appear before me, and I could see the impact of those experiences shaping me into who I am today. Parents and caretakers unknowingly contribute a lot to giving direction to our thinking patterns. All parents love their children, but not all possess wisdom. My goal is to inspire parents to be both loving and wise in their parenting journey. Neel Preet: What are some of the learnings that you gained from writing this book of yours? Suman Bansal: Writing “YASHO – The Parenting Guru” has been a transformative experience, enriching my outlook on parenting and life. It deepened my appreciation for the universal laws that govern us all. Trees, my silent mentors, taught me resilience and stability, echoing the importance of strong roots for growth. My students’ stories, like the poignant tale of a child who yearned for his mother’s love, reinforced the significance of expressing love and creating a secure environment, shaping my understanding of nurturing young minds. This journey has underscored the power of simplicity, authenticity, and the profound connections that bind us all. Neel Preet: Next, I would want you to tell us about some of those writers, who had inspired you and whom you follow! Suman Bansal: Honestly, I don’t specifically follow any particular writer, although I am an avid reader. “Yasho – The Parenting Guru” stems from my inner reflections and experiences. During meditation, I had a vision of a joyful two-year-old child radiating pure happiness. This revelation inspired me to emphasize the preservation of a child’s inherent joy, shaping the book’s essence. Neel Preet: Is there any message that you would like to convey to your readers? Or any piece of advice, which you would like to give to the readers out there! Suman Bansal: Absolutely, Neel. To all the readers, I want to emphasize that parenting is a sacred journey, a path of nurturing and guiding young souls. Remember, your child is a unique universe in themselves. Embrace their individuality, and cultivate an atmosphere of love, understanding, and open communication. Be mindful of the impact your actions and words have on their tender hearts. Nurture their self-esteem and encourage their dreams. Let them feel cherished for who they are, not just for what they achieve. As you embark on this beautiful journey, keep in mind that your love and guidance will be the guiding light that shapes their future. Let “YASHO – The Parenting Guru” be your companion, offering insights and inspiration along the way. Happy parenting! Neel Preet: Are there any other books being worked by you? Please let us know about your future projects. Suman Bansal: Certainly, Neel. I’m currently working on the sequel to “YASHO – The Parenting Guru,” which will delve into the crucial

Ejaz Ahamed Talks about His Latest Book Dancers in the Dark: In the Darkness of Her Skin, She Found Light
The Rise Insight: First of all, congratulations on the tremendous success of your book, “Dancers in the Dark.” It has garnered quite a following since its release. How do you feel about its overwhelming reception? Ejaz Ahamed: Thank you so much. I honestly am so grateful that people are connecting with the characters I have written about and the emotional journey they take the reader on by sharing their deepest highs and lows. Its nerve wracking not knowing how people will respond to your work so having had such positive feedback early on is such a blessing and deeply appreciated The Rise Insight: Could you share the inspiration behind the creation of “Dancers in the Dark”? What were the significant events or experiences that led you to write this book? Ejaz Ahamed: Being a person of colour, I have often felt a lot of the setbacks and discrimination on my own skin that the main characters have to battle in the book. So, although the characters are fictional their stories and emotional journey are completely authentic. I wanted to convey the extreme pressure one can feel growing up in a society that places so much importance on being fair – whether it is deliberate or not. A society where it is so ingrained that the fairer your skin the better job, marriage and life prospects one can attain. The Rise Insight: As an author, do you believe “Dancers in the Dark” effectively captures your intended message, or do you anticipate exploring further themes in your future works? Ejaz Ahamed: The strongest message I wanted to send is we are all worthy exactly the way we are, no matter the colour of our skin. We are all good enough to be anyone we wish to become and gain the respect of others, but first we must accept and love ourselves just as we are. I spent many years writing and re writing many chapters until I was convinced that the key feelings I wanted to capture can be felt by readers when they picked my book up. The Rise Insight: The abstract nature of “Dancers in the Dark” quickly captivates readers. Did you consider other formats or styles before deciding to write it as prose? Ejaz Ahamed: I definitely did but my 2 main goals for the writing style was I wanted the language to be as descriptive and emotive as possible so that readers felt like they were part of the story and were right there in the book with the characters in the situations they faced. The other goal I had was to ensure that even side characters had fleshed out backstories. The last thing I wanted was just describing a chain of events linked to characters without explaining their motivations for their actions and thoughts. Even if there was a character in the book the reader disliked I wanted to explain why they behaved the way they did. The Rise Insight: Though difficult to categorize, if you had to assign a genre to “Dancers in the Dark,” how would you describe it? Ejaz Ahamed: I would assign the genre of literary fiction to my book. The Rise Insight: As the author of “Dancers in the Dark,” have you been influenced by any other writers? Are there specific authors who have inspired your work? Ejaz Ahamed: Arundhati Roy author of God of Small Things and Khaled Hosseini – A Thousand Splendid Suns, have been a huge source of inspiration for me in both the writing style and the emotive way the describe events, emotions and characters. Their works are magnificent and left me thinking about their words long after I finished reading their books. I wanted to write an emotive piece to challenge people to reflect on their own place in society and the way they interact with others. Everyone is on their own journey and we can’t judge others harshly as we don’t know what inner battles, they may be fighting despite appearing fine on the surface. The Rise Insight: “Dancers in the Dark” has established you as a promising writer. Can we expect more literary offerings from you in the future? Could you share any insights into your upcoming projects? Ejaz Ahamed: I am currently working on a few plotlines I have very strong ideas for them. I am usually inspired the most when something triggers an emotion that I feel I absolutely have to express and convey through characters that people will be able to relate to. But for now, I am just relishing listening to people’s feedback about the current novel and super grateful for the overwhelming support I have received from those who have already read Dancers in the dark. The Rise Insight: Balancing subjectivity and objectivity can be challenging when selecting situations and crafting them in “Dancers in the Dark.” How did you approach maintaining an objective perspective throughout the book? Ejaz Ahamed: I tried to also keep in mind that even though my background is Indian and I understand Indian culture regarding colourism, caste and class systems, people from other parts of the world may find it completely foreign. So, I tried to be as descriptive as possible and put myself in the shoes of someone reading my book who has spent no time in India at all. The Rise Insight: The title “Dancers in the Dark” carries multifaceted associations. What is the story behind its selection for your book? Ejaz Ahamed: I yearned for a title that immediately instilled a sense of futility, sadness and intrigue that also alluded to the skin colour of the main protagonist. It took me a while to arrive at the final title which refers to a scene in the book where the main characters can for the first time experience the freedom to be themselves without persecution from society in the darkness of a room hidden away in the middle of a forest. The futility of something beautiful and joyous occurring in a place
“Dancers in the Dark: In the Darkness of Her Skin, She Found Light” by Ejaz Ahamed
“Dancers in the Dark: In the Darkness of Her Skin, She Found Light” by Ejaz Ahamed is a poignant and thought-provoking novel that delves into the complexities of human emotions and societal norms. Set in a rural village plagued by extreme poverty and prejudice, the story follows the harrowing journey of seven-year-old Kalki, whose pitch-black dark skin becomes the focal point of ridicule and discrimination. Through a gripping narrative, the author skillfully weaves a tale of resilience, self-discovery, and unexpected twists that captivates readers from start to finish. Karthi as a brother, stands out as his sister’s rock who loves her without any differentiation. While this does warm the hearts of the readers, it also shows that love as a bond does not look at the color of any skin or how dark or light it is. At the same time, Karthi alone stands in contrast to the rest of the society, who shuns and considers the same Kalki as bad luck. At the same time, Kalki’s resilience and determination at times break the stereotype and show her to be the rebel that any such society would need. Ahamed also hints towards the prevalent practice of untouchability and the hatred prevalent based on the color that still forms a significant whole of people’s lives. Through these characters, he explores the psychological impact it can have on a young child’s impressionable mind and the extent to which his personality can be scarred to turn out to be flawed. Simultaneously, he also blends the Indian element of gender, where the condition to be fair and clear-skinned is quintessential to finding the desired match for marriage for a girl. Through Priya’s character, he ironically shows how nothing else matters when a person’s color is highlighted. As disturbing as it may be for once, it is also a stark portrayal of reality. Kalki envisioning her fate in the same light is only the introduction to the impressions her mind has due to her being shunned for years too. As Kalki and Karthi navigate their way through the challenges thrown their way, they encounter a range of supporting characters who leave a lasting impression on the reader. The most powerful character is Yashoda, their mother, who is an embodiment of resilience, determination and willpower and has the courage to smile even in saddening circumstances. Her power to stay hopeful and still think of the future of her children in abject poverty shows the strength of her character. Despite the problems in her life and her being alone in the struggle, she shows the strength of a man and plays the role of both parents for her children where and when required. The festival itself is described with vibrant and colorful prose, transporting readers to the heart of the celebrations. As the village comes alive with music, dance, and joy, it serves as a stark contrast to Kalki’s struggles, emphasizing the stark realities of her life. This contrast is emblematic of the broader theme of hope amidst adversity, reminding readers that even in the darkest moments, there are glimpses of light. These spiritually charged sequences provide moments of reflection and introspection, enriching the narrative with profound insights into the human spirit. The novel’s pacing is well-balanced, with moments of tension and quiet introspection carefully interspersed throughout the story. The author’s ability to evoke a wide range of emotions ensures that readers remain deeply engaged with the characters and their struggles. The plot twists are unexpected yet plausible, keeping readers on the edge of their seats as they eagerly anticipate the next turn in the siblings’ journey. The twists of the novel may be unexpected but they light the readers up with the hope that the darkness will lead to bright light at the end of the tunnel. One of the early instances is Talaivar’s intervention in saving Kalki from a beating and further shunning. “Dancers in the Dark: In the Darkness of Her Skin, She Found Light” is a captivating and thought-provoking novel that shines a spotlight on the enduring human spirit in the face of adversity. Ejaz Ahamed’s expert storytelling and vivid prose bring to life a world of struggles, hope, and redemption. The novel’s exploration of identity, self-acceptance, and societal prejudices makes it a timely and relevant read in today’s world. The novel leaves a lasting impression with its powerful message of embracing one’s true self and finding strength within. Kalki and Karthi’s journey is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, reminding readers that even in the darkest of times, there is always a glimmer of light to guide the way. “Dancers in the Dark” is a must-read for those seeking a profound and touching exploration of the human condition and the power of love, determination, and self-discovery to overcome life’s most formidable challenges.
Author Devangshree Saini Talks About Her Book ‘Broke, Healed and Loved’
The Rise Insight: What inspired you to write “Broke, Healed and Loved,” and how did you decide on the unique approach of presenting poems without titles? Devangshree Saini: As I always say, my life itself is my greatest inspiration behind the book. Other than that there were several other people who are a great inspiration to me. However, the purpose behind not giving any title to the poems is that if I would give a title to the poem it’ll become relatable to only a particular group of people or a particular idea. On the other hand if I wouldn’t provide any, it can be interpreted in many ways and can be felt by many people rather than having only a particular meaning. The Rise Insight: In the book, you explore themes of love, breaking, and healing. Could you share some personal experiences or sources of inspiration that influenced these themes in your poetry? Devangshree Saini: It wasn’t pre decided that I will write and publish this – this – this theme. It just formed itself naturally as I wrote daily in the past months and years. Then when I read them all together, one day, I found they’re majorly expressing such feelings and so when I decided to publish them, I divided them on the bases of the themes. I wrote when I saw those situations and faced those emotions by myself in my life and what impact they did leave on me. The feeling of loving someone unconditionally and then getting broken by them. But through writing I made my healing from the pain and loss. The Rise Insight: The poems in your collection flow seamlessly into each other, creating a continuous stream of consciousness. Can you tell us about the creative process behind organizing the poems in this manner? Devangshree Saini: I have put poems in a manner which are automatically leading from one idea to another as we read them one – by – one. For instance, when the theme of Love starts in the poem, the first poem you read is about self-love and then it talks about romantic love. Which is what we think (and if you don’t then you should) when we hear the word “love” because it’s what we’re living for and because of. If you don’t learn to love yourself first then you’ll never be able to love anyone with your entire heart in this world. Similarly, every aspect or emotion we encounter is arranged in a step-by-step manner in the book as it occurs in our lives. The Rise Insight: Emotional turbulence is a prominent aspect of your work. How do you manage to convey such intense emotions through your poetry? Devangshree Saini: I believe that not only poetry but whatever creative writing you’re practicing should be writtenon one’s own personal experiences and with honesty without any extra spice to it. Readers do like and relate to the work which is based on real or raw emotions. Also there’s this thing I have shared on one of my blog post’s too that poetry can be written on anything or anybody but what makes your work on fleek is to immerse yourself completely into that emotion(s) with which you are writing that poem. This is what I practice. I “let the emotions overtake me entirely”. Whether it’s anger, sadness, love, hope, dejection, joy…anything, I just let it take me with itself. The Rise Insight: “Broke, Healed and Loved” showcases both painful emotions and hope. How do you find a balance between exploring the depths of emotions and offering a sense of optimism to readers? Devangshree Saini: As I have already mentioned, how I let the emotions take me with themselves, it is important to note that I do let it take me entirely with itself but those emotions which are negative (such as anger, dejection, sadness), I only let them occupy my mind when I’m writing about it or related to it and then immediately after penning it down and handling it to the universe via. pages, I replace them with the positive ones. If I would not replace them with the positive ones they might replace my writing talent to nothing. Because as we all know negative emotions destroy us from inside if we don’t allow ourselves to let them go after a certain period of time. The Rise Insight: As a writer, how do you approach vulnerability in your poetry, especially when delving into personal experiences and emotions? Devangshree Saini: Those events or encounters of my life which shake me from head to toe and leave me wounded, don’t leave my mind and my heart until I write them out somewhere. So it’s not like I choose to write about a particular idea like ‘oh, today I should try to write something depressing or gloomy.’ No, Instead I write what I feel in that particular moment. This not only gives the poems a raw form but provides them the actual essence of that particular emotion or idea. The Rise Insight: Your book contains both short and long poems. Could you share how the length of a poem affects its impact on the reader and the message you want to convey? Devangshree Saini: It’s not that long poems are boring or that short poems are thrilling. If we see how lives are getting developed day – by – day, we can find that as the human is heading forward to the future s/he is getting less time for her/himself. And I feel this is why nowadays people prefer short poems more than the long ones. Poems that in a few words explains the reader the entire story or emotion. Also if you see that when you’re really dejected or in a mentally worst condition and going through very hard times of your life, you won’t feel like writing much or explaining it in detail and thus the poets try to keep it in a length which they feel is

Blending the powerful art of psychotherapies with personalised meditations, this book will help you carve your way towards achieving all that you desire in time less than you can imagine. Interview Can you please share your experience about making your work into the form of a book? The book covers a big part of my journey from old self to my higher self. From rock bottom to touching the skies. Technically the first quote in my book was the very first quote I wrote in my life and that was years before I even thought of writing a book. During my sabbatical phase I ran in to a mystery of curiosity to know what was the reason causing a massive shift in my physical, mental and spiritual states. It took months to understand what the heck is really happening. These experiences made me dive deep into the world of quantum science, theology, psychology, mysticism and meditation. It took me years to comprehend the biological shift that happened and that is when a purpose in life hit me hard. My only desire was handing out this knowledge to every one suffering on the path of suicidal trauma and misery, and guide them towards meeting their higher self. With the newly found purpose in life, I designed three of the most powerful programs for self-transformation called Embrace the Super Human, Awaken the Superhuman and Arf Master Coach Certification. “Embrace the super human” focuses deeply on the understanding that “feeling is the prayer” and helped countless people combine the art of NLP therapies and Personalised meditations to create some of the most powerful feelings to attract and manifest all they desire. There are countless stories of my client’s manifesting wonders by tapping into the power of their heart’s energy field. As I understood the power of this basic program that I designed I decided to compose this knowledge and wisdom of self-transformation into a book that can reach masses. What inspired you to write this book? What was the impetus behind this work of yours? The energy force behind this book was inspired by some very well-known and also anonymous people. If I have to put this out in the right way, most of my learning and wisdom came from experiencing it first, then later understanding it. The biggest sources of inspiration that I have even today have been the biggest sources of confirming what I comprehended during my journey in mystical ways. I would rather say, when I finally met MC square (E=Mc square) and understood that it was the E that I experienced. The work of scientists and authors like Gregg Bredon, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Dr Bruce Lipton, Dr Joseph Murphy, Norman Cousins and the famous Indian Mystic Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and the ancient Sufi mystic Jalal Uddin Rumi still brings a level of ecstasy to my mind. The rolling impetus was combining the knowledge and wisdom from ancient civilisations to the modern world in the most layman way so that it can be comprehendible for the common people. You have given a very interesting title to your book, which is very catchy too so, what made you go for this title for your book? Well, the title of my book came from my level one program as we spoke earlier, I will tell you why I titled my level one program as “Embrace the super human” and level two as “Awaken the super human”. When one marches on their journey of inner exploration and self-transformation, over stepping the stair of first embracing what the human body can do or perform, and focusing directly on awakening the highest potential can come with a hefty price. The first ever case of meditation going wrong happened first hand in my experience years ago and that is when the power of meditations struck me hard. In fact, that one experience was enough to help me understand, if a meditation done in a wrong way can harm someone so bad, a meditation done in the right way can permanently liberate someone from their wheels of misery. That is why, as the medical practitioners swear their anthem, meditation practitioners should swear their anthem of not taking their students directly to master level meditations. Embracing the super human abilities in us is what gives us a peak into our highest potentials and prepares our mind and body for harnessing higher fields of energy and once some one has embraced their highest potential, its time to ignite it, its time to awaken it to the infiniteness of this existence. Now you know the title of my second book as well! What was your mindset, while working on this book? Is it based on any particular experience of yours? The basis of this book coming into existence was something I learnt very differently. It is based on a very popular but dreadful experience a lot of philosophers, mystics and now scientists talk about, “the dark night of the soul”. As I say to my clients, “if you have heard about this phrase, you might have tasted a bit of this experience” and there will be
