The Rise Insight: Welcome to The Rise Insight, author. Congratulations on the release of your book. What responses are you getting from your readers? Please share your experience with this book.

Author: It’s really a pleasurable and a great learning experience in the journey of writing this book. As I work with eductech, corporate, universities and professional institutions and upskilling areas of future stakeholders I had a keen interest to write books. But, for this book, one of my co-passengers in a bus journey motivated me to come up. However, the industry people, placement heads of various Universities and leading Institutions, my teaching and training and HR experiences in various MNCs and my business education paved the way for writing my mind. Dr Arun Behera, Ms Sanchayita Majumdar and Mr Lingaraj Padhan enormously helped in editing and proofreading of this book. I am really grateful to them for their quality editing , valuable time and effort.

The Rise Insight: What encourages you to become an Author?

Author: For meKnowledge is Power; only when you start applying it for the wellbing. That’s where I have started wirintg Book. Inspiration comes first, writing comes second. Without inspiration, no writing would take place. There’s so many reasons why I want to become a better Author. But, the most important reason is ability to express myself and my thinking through concise, accurate and impactful ways. My motivation is the idea that somewhere, someday something I write will make a difference. I’ve read books that have altered the course of my life, and I hope someday to deliver a book that does the same for others. I do have five books published, and the feedback I’ve received has been exciting and scope for becoming a better writer .

The Rise Insight: What are your favorite topics of writing? Please tell us something about your interest areas in the literature.

Author: My favorite topics of writing are on Student Engagement and Leadership.

The rapid growth of student enrolment in higher educational institutions has resulted in large-sized classes with fewer individuals, which in turn has led to a lack of engagement in classroom activities. My interest is to provide a deeper understanding of various interventional strategies to engage students for effective leanring and academic performecne. Another interest area of mine is to bring deep insight into the complex interpersonal dynamics of the workplace, wihich will positions leadership both as a skill to be learned, and as a relationship that must be nurtured to reach its full potential. And I will emphasize the need for such a leader who will have to communicate and inspire others using a distinguished skill set, encouraging his people to adapt to change and move with the times and by recognizing untapped and creative talent within their workplace.

The Rise Insight: We were hoping you could tell us about some of those writers who had inspired you and whom you follow!

The Rise Insight: The titles seem different and catchy; how you decided it? Please let us know the story behind it.

Author: It is an inspirational meet that happened in a bus journey in Bangalore from Silk board to Manyta Tech Park in 2019. A co-passenger who sat beside me speaking to his parents was very upset as he was undergoing many interviews. He was disappointed as he was not getting through the interviews. So the conversation between me and the gentleman started. I shared with him a few input and tips. We exchanged our contact details with one another. After a few weeks, the man called me and said with gratitude “Dada finally I have cracked the Interview”. He gave an idea and requested me to write a book on the how to cark the job. That suggesting words inspired me to shape the ideas in a book form. I consulted many industry professionals, placement heads, HR Professionals and took their feedback and suggestions, underwent many different words for the title of the book and, finally, YOU CAN CRACK THE JOB INTERVIEW. It took me 1.5 years with many days of sleepless night to comlepete this dream project. My writing started with my blog writing , faculty handouts. And then work as freelancing in my eaily career to eductech companies and Ad agencies. And then joined few content writing courses to upskill my creative writing. It’s difficult to write the first page. But do it; because that’s the only way to become a writer. When you will write the 100th page and look back, you will realise how bad your first page was. But that is needed. One has to climb the first step to reach that 100th step.

The Rise Insight: How you see Indian writing in the 21st century? What changes do you see in the modern way of writing? Do you feel it has been changed by the time?

Author: Indian literature itself occupies a much larger place in world literary. Not only is self-publishing a convenient option for the authors, but the latest technology and changing outlook, is also catering to the taste buds of the book lovers. Self-publishing is the publication done by the author without the involvement of any publishing house. The book is privately printed and the author takes care of the entire process. All the aspects like the cover design, the interior, typesetting, editing, proofreading, formats, distribution, price, PR or marketing, are dealt by the author.

Self -publishing is not a new concept to India anymore. With authors embracing it in huge numbers, India is seeing a lot of improvement in this industry. It would not be an exaggeration to say that self-publishing is slowly transforming the book market. From being made to self-publish, authors are now choosing to self-publish, a trend that is healthy. With the availability of easy-to-adopt technology and a large amount of easy to access information, self-publishing has become mainstream.

The Rise Insight: How easy/ difficult it was for you to publish your book? What message would you like to give to budding authors?

Author: My key takeaways are to dfine your objective of your writing book and second is to aware about your target audience. Thanks to Evincepub Publishing for acceting my proposal to publish. Writing is a technical skill set that develops over a period of time. You need to polish your skills before going out into the market. For first-time authors, learning how to get a book published can be as daunting as writing an actual book. However, as the book publishing industry shifts toward digital publishing options in addition to traditional publishing, first-time budding author have increased opportunities to get published. When you start, you will suck. No one has ever been a good writer without writing about a million words of crap first. You have to learn how to write well by writing a lot and studying writing. This will take years.
